SIRIM’s Environmental System Certification is accreditated by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Scheme).

PRIME MINISTER’S HIBISCUS AWARD 2002/2003

Silterra was awarded the honourable Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award for Notable Achievement in Environmental Performance for year 2002/2003.

This is a proud testament of our excellent Environmental Management System, since achieving ISO 14001 Certification in August 2002.

This prestigious award is endorsed by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment. It is jointly organized by four of Malaysia’s leading private sector non-profit organizations concerned with corporate environmental issues.

NATIONAL FIRE CERTIFICATION

September 2004 – Consistently implementing an excellent environment, health and safety (EHS) system has earned Silterra the acclaimed National Fire Certificate. Silterra is one of only 139 premises in the country to be awarded this highly sought-after certificate by the Fire and Rescue Department, Malaysia, in compliance with the Fire Service Act (1988).

PRIME MINISTER’S HIBISCUS AWARD 2004/2005

Silterra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has won an award in the Notable Achievement category of the Prime Minister's Hibiscus Award 2004/ 2005.

The Prime Minister's Hibiscus Award is a prestigious, biennial recognition that is jointly sponsored and organized by four of Malaysia's leading private sector non-profit organizations concerned with corporate environmental issues, namely: BCSDM, ENSEARCH, FMM and MICCI. The Award is endorsed by the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment, Malaysia, and supported by the Department of Environment and the Malaysian business community.

There are three categories of achievement awards - Excellent, Exceptional and Notable. It is the premier private sector award for business and industry in Malaysia in the area of environmental management. The awards give due recognition to the business community for the soundness of their environmental management systems and proven commitment towards environmental protection and sustainability enhancement.
