Silterra Appoints Executive Director and New COO
Ahmad Pardas Senin and Bruce Gray Strengthen
Senior Executive Team
KULIM, Malaysia (June 30, 2003) - Silterra
Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a leading semiconductor wafer
foundry, today announced that it has appointed
Ahmad Pardas Senin as Executive Director of the
company. Semiconductor industry veteran Bruce Gray
is the new Executive Vice President and Chief
Operating Officer (COO). Cy Hannon, who has served
as President and CEO of Silterra since 1997,
stepped down to pursue other personal interests.
Ahmad Pardas is responsible for the overall
management of the Company.

experienced leader and manager, and has an
outstanding track record with many industrial,

very confident that Ahmad will build on the

Prior to joining Silterra, Ahmad Pardas Senin
served as President of the Information and
Communication Technology Division of the
UEM-Renong Group, the largest engineering,
construction and infrastructure conglomerate in
Malaysia. He has also held senior executive
positions at other member companies in the
UEM-Renong Group, including Managing Director of
Time Engineering Berhad, Executive Director and
CEO of Time dotCom Berhad, and Group Managing
Director of Renong Berhad. Previously, Ahmad
Pardas had spent 18 years at the British American
Tobacco Group. He is a Fellow of the Chartered
Institute of Management Accountants, a Chartered
Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants,
and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditor,
Inc.

As Executive Vice President and COO, Bruce Gray is
responsible for manufacturing, engineering,
technology development, purchasing and logistics
operations. His charter also includes
implementation strategies for future capacity
expansion and compliance with industry standards
and safety procedures. Gray reports directly to
Ahmad Pardas Senin, Executive Director of Silterra.
Most recently Gray acted as a consultant to high
technology companies and a board member of Redwood
Microsystems, Inc. During his long tenure with
National Semiconductor, he served as the Director
of Santa Clara (CA) Operations and as the Managing
Director of the Advanced Technology Group. He was
responsible for overseeing the construction of
National's first 200mm wafer fab and for the
development of its CMOS and BiCMOS processes.
Additionally, Gray was SEMATECH's first Vice
President of Manufacturing Operations.
Gray earned his B.S. degree in Metallurgy and
Materials Science from the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology and holds three patents.
