SILTERRA APPOINTS NEW VICE PRESIDENT FOR HR


Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (June 27, 2005) – SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SilTerra), a leading semiconductor wafer foundry and strategic investment by Khazanah Nasional Berhad, has recently appointed Kenneth Toh as its Vice-President of Human Resources. 

Announcing the appointment, Bruce Gray, President/COO and acting CEO of SilTerra said, “We are very pleased to welcome Kenneth on board as the Vice President of HR. Kenneth brings with him more than 16 years of corporate and regional HR experience. He will be responsible for developing and implementing an international HR benchmark at SilTerra to drive robust business results.”

Toh, a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Management (Honours) from the University of London, has held several senior positions responsible for Human Resources. 

Prior to joining SilTerra, Toh was based in Singapore as the Director of HR at Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Limited, responsible for the HR teams in nine business organisations within the company. He was also based in Hsin-Chu, Taiwan, between 2001 and 2003, as the Department Manager of Corporate Compensation & Benefits Planning team at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited. “At SilTerra, we are serious about nurturing Malaysian core competencies in leading-edge technologies.
