Chuang Fei Xin Anti-Fuse One Time Programming Solution Qualified in SilTerra High Voltage Technology

Kulim, Malaysia and Zhuhai, China (July 14th, 2017) - SilTerra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian home grown leading semiconductor wafer foundry, and Zhuhai Chuangfeixin Technology Co., Ltd. ("CFX"), an memory IP design house, jointly announced the production release of Anti-Fuse One-Time-Programming (OTP) IP in SilTerra's 160nm and 110nm High Voltage technology.

CFX's Anti-Fuse OTP memory macro is silicon characterized and qualified on SilTerra's High Voltage technology. The OTP has demonstrated to achieve 10 years of data retention reliability and passed 1000hours of burn-in reliability tests. The CFX Anti-Fuse OTP IP is cost optimized in terms of area and density, and do not require extra process masking steps. The IP would enable our customers to set parameters to optimize the power consumption, performance and color gamut of display driver IC.

SST and SilTerra Announce Production Readiness of Embedded SuperFlash® Macros on SilTerra's 180nm CMOS Platform

A Wide Range of Silicon-Proven, Competitive-Size Memory Macros Now Available to SilTerra's Customers

CHANDLER, Ariz., July. 26, 2016 - Microchip Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: MCHP), a leading provider of microcontroller, mixed-signal, analog and Flash-IP solutions, through its Silicon Storage Technology (SST) subsidiary, announced today that silicon-proven SuperFlash® macros are now available on SilTerra's 180 nm CMOS technology. The off-the-shelf macros allow SilTerra customers access to SST's unique SuperFlash non-volatile memory (NVM) technology in a range of competitive size memory blocks.

SST's SuperFlash technology is broadly deployed and in high-volume production at multiple integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) and foundry partners like SilTerra. Therefore, SST's high density, reliable and high-yielding memory is widely available to many customers in various markets. By providing pre-qualified macros up to 2Mb, SilTerra is enabling its customers with faster time to market, especially important to customers in the growing Internet of Things (IoT) and smart cards markets.

SilTerra Joins The IPL Alliance

The Interoperable PDK Libraries (IPL) Alliance announced today that SilTerra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian home-grown leading semiconductor wafer foundry, has joined the IPL Alliance, a standards organization whose charter is to establish an interoperable custom design ecosystem. Multiple SilTerra 130 nm Technology iPDKs (interoperable Process Design Kits) are now available for customers.

The IPL Alliance, which includes major electronic design automation (EDA), semiconductor and foundry companies, released the industry's first open standard for iPDKs in 2010. The iPDK standard is based on the OpenAccess database and uses standard languages and a unified architecture to enable interoperability among all EDA vendor tools. Engineering teams need to develop only a single PDK for each process node which reduces development costs, shortens design cycles and provides designers with earlier access to advanced process technologies across multiple tools.

SilTerra 180nm BCDMOS Technology Enters Mass Production Phase

SilTerra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian home grown leading semiconductor wafer foundry, announced the mass production of its latest 0.18-micron BCDMOS (Bipolar, CMOS, DMOS) process technology. Officially known as D18V, this technology targets high voltage - high current applications which is well suited for wireless battery charger, DC-DC converter, load switches, high precision regulators and power management Integrated Circuits (IC) used in mobile consumer devices.

The Low voltage 1.8V device of D18V technology is fully compatible with standard foundry CMOS process whereas the 5V device is developed for high analog performance and built as the foundation for DMOS device. The D18V technology features the voltage spectrum running from 12V to 40V. SilTerra has demonstrated superior Rdson performance (14.2mohm per mm2 at BV >31V for a specific 26V NLDMOS device) with its DMOS process.

SilTerra's 0.18-micron BCDMOS technology offers various process options including isolated 5V device with Deep-Nwell, High Poly Resistor, Metal-Insulator-Metal Capacitor, Power Line Metal as well as various ESD device options such as NLDMOS Power Clamp, Latch-up free SCR, Forward ESD diode, Cascade ggNMOS. These options are critical to enhance the efficiency and reliability of high performance analog products.

In addition, the D18V technology is complete with comprehensive PDK, standard library, IO Library and One-Time-Programming IP.

The DesignWare AEON MTP ULP NVM IP cuts power consumption by up to 90 percent compared to the previous generation by offering a single-bit read capability, read operation down to 0.9V and peak current under 10uA during erase and programming. Reducing power consumption extends battery life in mobile systems, increases RFID/NFC tag sensitivity and reduces tag size by allowing the use of smaller antennas.

CMT Multiple Time Programming Solution Qualified in SiTerra 110nm High Voltage Technology

SilTerra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian home grown leading semiconductor wafer foundry, and Chip Memory Technology, Inc, an innovative memory IP design house, jointly announced today the production release of Multiple-Time-Programming (MTP) embedded non-volatile memory solution in SilTerra's advanced 110nm High Voltage technology.

CMT's MTP memory macro is now silicon characterized and qualified on SilTerr's 110nm High Voltage technology, cost optimized with no additional masking layer nor special process module needed. The MTP macro has passed 10 thousand times of endurance read-write cycles followed by 1000 hours of burn-in reliability tests. The IP has also successfully demonstrated 10 years of data retention reliability and met industry recognized JEDEC standard.

This MTP memory IP will play a pivotal role in SilTerra's effort to win in the fast growing touch controller Integrated Circuit (IC) market which is now a standard feature in all the mobile devices such as smart phones, tablets, multimedia players, laptops, digital cameras, GPS as well as other computing, consumer, automotive, industrial and medical applications. This MTP memory IP will add programmability to the touch controller IC in a single chip resulting in more elegant and smaller design by eliminating the older approach of using multiple external NOR Flash or EEPROM discrete memory chips. The single chip touch controller IC which help customers shrink the board footprint design and hence reduce overall BOM cost.
