Silterra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has won an award in the Notable Achievement category of the Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award 2004/ 2005.

The Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award is a prestigious, biennial recognition that is jointly sponsored and organized by four of Malaysia’s leading private sector non-profit organizations concerned with corporate environmental issues, namely: BCSDM, ENSEARCH, FMM and MICCI. The Award is endorsed by the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment, Malaysia, and supported by the Department of Environment and the Malaysian business community.

There are three categories of achievement awards – Excellent, Exceptional and Notable. It is the premier private sector award for business and industry in Malaysia in the area of environmental management. The awards give due recognition to the business community for the soundness of their environmental management systems and proven commitment towards environmental protection and sustainability enhancement.
